Deactivate WhatsApp

WhatsApp, the most used instant messaging app in the world, today it is an extension of ourselves. We are connected 24 hours a day and we do not stop being in contact with our friends, family, colleagues. This can become overwhelming and there is even talk of people who cannot stop looking at their mobile screen waiting for some Whatsapp .

Have you ever wanted to delete Whatsapp for any reason?. Have you ever wanted to disconnect from all your contacts?Surely many of you have thought about it at some point, but it is almost impossible to take the step given that it is currently the preferred means of communication for everyone to communicate with our loved ones and friends. Those who do not have this app, today, can be considered isolated.

But this does not mean that, from time to time, one wants to disconnect and stop receiving messages. We, for example, usually deactivate WhatsApp when we do sports, when we go on a mountain route, when we go to a party and we guarantee that you will enjoy everything much more than if we were constantly receiving message notifications and looking at our mobile.

But how do we disconnect Whatsapp? How can I deactivate it for as long as I want? At APPerlas we have found the possibility of deactivating this app and being able to continue using the rest of the functions and applications of our iPhone, that require an internet connection.

How to deactivate WhatsApp and leave only a check in the messages they send us:

In the following video we explain it to you in a very visual way. If you are more of reading below we tell you the steps in writing:

The truth is that it is much simpler than you might imagine:

  • The first thing we have to do is deactivate our WIFI connection. We do this so that the phone only uses the internet connection of our data plan.
  • After this, we access SETTINGS and go down until we find the app WHATSAPP. When we find it, click on it and access its menu.
  • Of all the options, we just have to deactivate MOBILE DATA.

Disable mobile data on WhatsApp

With this, we already leave Whatsapp deactivated and we can enjoy all the time we want without the sometimes annoying message alerts.

The messages that your contacts send you, will only appear with a check, since you will not receive them until you connect to a Wi-Fi network or activate mobile data for the application.

That's right, as soon as you connect to a WIFI network or activate the MOBILE DATA option of the application again, we will activate WhatsApp and all the messages that had not reached us before.

We recommend you do this from time to time and enjoy the world around us a little more. You will see what we often miss by constantly looking at the little messages that reach our device.

We, at least once a week, disconnect the app but not before having put a message in our WhatsApp status, alerting our contacts that we are not active and that if they have something important to tell us, we will call or use other means of contact.

Another way to disconnect WhatsApp and leave two checks in the messages they send us:

Another way to “turn off” the app is to turn off notifications.

It is a less efficient way of disconnecting since the messages that are sent to us will appear, to our contacts, with the double check. This reveals that they have been sent and that we have received it. In the previous way that we have told you, I would only mark a sent check.

To do this, you simply have to access the Settings of iOS and follow the following route Notifications/WhatsApp .

Disable WhatsApp notifications

In that menu, we simply have to disable notifications. In this way, we will not receive any type of message notice. Of course, if you do this, we advise you to save the app in a folder so as not to have it at hand. Because if you don't hide it, you'll surely bite and access it.

The messages you receive will not be seen until you enter the app. Forget about sounds, vibrations, little red balloon with number of messages and disconnect from time to time. You deserve it.
