iOS 16.2 Now Available
Since the release of iOS 16, there have been a few updates that included minor improvements and bug and crash fixes. Except for the version of iOS 16.1 that brought great news, all the others have been of little depth. Now, already available, we have another of the most anticipated versions, 16.2 .
This update was scheduled to reach iPhone before the end of 2022. More specifically, it was expected for yesterday, December 12, but in the end it came out today, December 13, from 19:00, Spanish time, we can now install it on our iPhone.
What's new in iOS 16.2 :
All of these are the most outstanding new features coming to your iPhone with this new update :
- Freeform: New app for collaborating creatively with friends or coworkers on Mac, iPad, and iPhone. The whiteboards' responsive canvas lets you add files, images, sticky notes, and more. Draw with your finger anywhere on the board using the drawing tools.
- Sing on Apple Music: Enjoy a new way to sing millions of songs on Apple Music. Adjust the voice of the song to your liking, whether it's duetting with the original artist, singing solo, or a combination of both. The display of song lyrics has been improved to make it easier for you to match your voice to the music.
- Lock Screen: Added new settings that allow you to hide the wallpaper or notifications when using the Always On Screen feature on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro. iPhone 14 Pro Max .
- New Sleep widget: Check the latest data about your sleep periods.
- New Medication Widget: This allows you to see intake reminders and quickly access your medication schedule.
- Game Center: Thanks to the SharePlay support of Game Center multiplayer games, you can play with the people you're on a FaceTime call with.
- The Activity Widget lets you see right from your home screen what your friends are playing and what achievements they've earned in games.
- Improvements in the Home app: The reliability and efficiency of communication between home automation accessories and Apple devices has been improved.
In addition, this update also includes the following improvements and bug fixes:
- The search function in the Messages app has been improved, allowing you to find photos based on their content (for example, if there is a dog, a car, a person or text).
- The Messages app's communications security setting gives parents the ability to enable alerts for little ones if they receive or try to send nude photos.
- Messaging app security advisories contain helpful resources for minors if they ever receive nude images.
- The “Reload showing IP address” option allows private iCloud relay users to temporarily disable the service in Safari for a certain website.
- The “Participant Cursors” option in the Notes app lets you see real-time indicators of what other people are editing in a shared note.
- The setting selected in AirDrop now automatically reverts to “Contacts Only” after 10 minutes to prevent unwanted requests to send content.
- Optimized the accident detection function on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models.
- Fixed an issue that caused some notes to not sync to iCloud after you made changes.
