Use AirPods with the Hearing feature
If you have hearing problems, Airpods and an iPhone , you have everything you need to be able to hear better than you can hear. With the "Hearing" accessibility feature, Apple lets you increase the sound of everything around you.
Los de Cupertino does not stop adding he alth improvements to their devices and it is something to be grateful for. It is a great pleasure to have a mobile that helps you, day by day, to overcome barriers imposed by some type of disability.
What is the iPhone Hearing feature, how to activate it and how to use it:
This feature uses your iPhone, or iPad, as a directional microphone, capturing sound and reducing noise before passing it through your AirPods This means that you will be able to hear much better what a person is saying to you, by bringing the iPhone closer to their mouth.
A very interesting feature, especially for people with hearing problems.
We can even give it other uses.
An example is watching your favorite TV show and having to go, for example, to the toilet. Nothing better than putting on your Airpods, activating the hearing function, leaving the iPhone next to the TV and go to the bathroom listening to what happens in the program.
How to activate the function:
It's very simple.
We simply have to configure the control center in the following path: Settings/Control Center
In the menu that appears, we must click on the Audition option.
We select AUDITION
This will make it appear on the screen when accessing the control center.
Ear icon
How to use iOS Hearing mode:
In the following video we explain how it works using an unorthodox example. We comment on it in writing below:
To do this we must do the following:
- Put on our Airpods.
- Once on, we go to the control center and click on the button where an ear appears.
- The following screen will appear, where we must click on the area where it says "Listen live".
Click on that area of the audition menu
By doing these steps you will be able to make use of this great function of iOS. You can see how on that screen it says "YES" and some dots appear indicating the intensity of the sound.
Listening mode on
To deactivate it, go back to the Control Center , press the ear icon and touch the area where it says the option "Listening live" .
What do you think?.
