Análisis Mi band 7 (Image: tuxiaomi.es)
We always say it and let no one have any doubts: The Mi Band 7 analyzed has not been donated by any patron, but has been purchased and the opinion written here is totally impartial.
If you already have the bracelet and you have missed the article on the tricks to get the whole game out of this gadget, be sure to read it. This is one of the best accessories available for our iPhone, and it shows.
Mi Band 7 Review:
In addition to the number of sports available to choose from, a differential point of this version is the resolution.Although it is true that the people of Xiaomi have maintained the change that they introduced in version 5 of this Mi band, and that is that they finally said goodbye to the rectangular screen and now we can see data on the entire surface. In this way, the diagonal of the screen increases from 1.56 to 1.62 inches, and the resolution from 152 x 486 to 192 x 490 ppi.The bracelet itself remains water resistant up to 5 ATM.
Mi Band 7 Screen
To make this analysis a little more special and different, I wanted to compare this Xiaomi gadget in several aspects. Let's see the differences between the Mi Band 7, a Garmin Fénix 6 PRO, and a Apple Watch SE first generation, in things as mundane as daily step counts and sleep, and I'll do a couple of swimming sessions, to compare the metrics I get.
Mi Band 7 review, steps:
Bluntly. Two any working day, this is the result of the steps that the Garmin, the Mi Band and the Apple Watch have measured. I have alternated the Garmin and the Watch, I leave you the results. The day I wore the Mi Band and the Garmin, the distance and steps measured by it was this:

How you see the difference is big. We are talking about more than 2 km of difference between both devices. Note that the Garmin was on the left hand, and the Mi Band 7 on the right. I don't know if that will affect it, although I don't think so. Let's see now if there is so much difference on another day, wearing the Watch and the Mi Band 7.

There is less difference here, but it still exists. The truth is that I am not very sure if it will be a matter of the algorithms, or where the difference will be, but I cannot tell you what it is.
Swim Test:
In the same way, I have carried out two activities. One with the Garmin and the Mi band, and another with the Watch and the Garmin. Here you have the results. The next activity was 52 lengths of 25 meters, and as you can see, the Garmin counted some more, and the Mi Band 7 less.

In the Mi Band we do not have heart rate data, and as a tip, activate the activity before getting into the water. Wet touch response is horrible

Now, let's see what happens comparing a 51-length swim against a first-generation Apple Watch SE, and this Mi Band 7 :

I really liked that the Watch SE measures heart rate during activity, something I either didn't remember, or it's a new feature after the update.Pleasantly surprised, really. In addition, the Apple Watch has not had any deviation in counting lengths. Apart from this detail, I am still shocked by the difference in calories that one application and another measure. Same as the steps, I don't know what it obeys, but there are differences.
Sleep analysis:
Remember that the constant is the Mi Band, what has changed is the Apple Watch, and the Garmin. Let's compare the GARMIN and the Mi Band 7.

There is some difference, although I honestly think it's small. The differential point in favor of the Mi Band 7 is that it recognizes naps, and it does it VERY WELL. The Garmin has not detected the nap.
Now let's see the differences wearing the Watch SE and the Mi Band 7.

The truth is that the people at Apple have done a great job with sleep analysis. We now have a lot more details than we had before the WatchOS update. Same as swimming pulsations, pleasantly surprised.
Final conclusion. Buy My Band 7 Yes or no?:
I'm honest if I tell you that I wouldn't know which of the three to choose. Putting the features and benefits on a scale, the Mi Band 7 is the best we can find in this price range.
If you are normal users, you don't need advanced metrics and you just want to keep track and record your workouts, I can't think of a better option. Missing things? Yes. Heart rate during swimming (in the rest if it offers them), a better calculation of the calories consumed. The Apple Watch SE does not disappoint and especially with the metric of pulsations in the water, but the calculation of calories consumed is out of place for me.On the other hand, it is the one that best gets along with our iPhone. In short, these are trivial things, which, as I told you, will only be important for training at another level.
I hope I have helped you decide and if you have to give a gift, do not hesitate. Give away what for me is the best accessory for iPhone, you will always look good.
