iOS 16 High Battery Drain
Apple launched iOS 16.1 a few weeks ago, with interesting news for our devices. Functions that help us to be much more productive and that allow us to take even more advantage of our iPhone, especially from the lock screen. These join many others that arrived with iOS 16
All these novelties, such as live activities, require an increase in battery consumption and that is where we want to go.Many of the new features in iOS 16 incur battery drain that many of us may not be willing to bear. It is then when we must choose between productivity or autonomy.
Battery consumption in iOS 16 increases for these reasons:
Next we are going to name all the functions of iOS 16 that increase the battery drain on your iPhone:
- Live Activities: The ability to view live results on the iPhone. This means that the device is constantly connected to the game(s) you configure to watch live.
- Lock Screen Widgets: Many Widgets are constantly updated to show us information. This requires the iPhone to be connected.
- Haptic keyboard: This website has already discussed why this keyboard function consumes battery power.
- Always Active Screen: In the iPhone 14 PRO we have the possibility to activate this function. The battery consumption is minimal, but it is an expense that, for many, is expendable
- iCloud Photo Sharing: Using iCloud Photo Sharing could cause others' photos to sync to your iPhone at inopportune times, draining your iPhone battery life
- Animated Wallpapers: Animated wallpapers will consume a little more battery than a static wallpaper.
