iOS 16.1 is here!
Since the release of iOS 16, there have been a few updates that included minor improvements and bug and crash fixes. But, from them, the one that was expected to arrive, as a major update, was iOS 16.1.
This update was scheduled to arrive on iPhones before the end of October. More specifically, it was expected for today, October 24. And as predicted, it has been so and since 7:00 p.m. Spanish time, we can install iOS 16.1 on our iPhone.
These are all the new features that come with iOS 16.1:
We start with the star feature of iOS 16.1: the Shared iCloud Photo Library. This shared photo library allows us to share photos and videos with different people through iCloud. Specifically, we can share the photo library with up to 5 people.
Its operation allows all participants in the shared photo library to add photos or videos, as well as edit or modify their data. Likewise, sharing photos in the Photo Library will be quite easy both from the Camera and from the Camera app
iOS 16.1 Update Notes
iOS 16.1 also includes Live Activities. Thanks to them we will be able to see, on the Dynamic Island of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max and on the screen of the iPhone live, how they progress the activities of some apps compatible with them.
With this update we will also be able to use Fitness+ without having an Apple Watch And in regards to Wallet, in addition to being able to delete the app, we can share different "keys" safely through messages and WhatsApp
Finally, Home supports the Matter security standard and, in Books, the controls are hidden when you start reading. In addition, it is also indicated that iOS 16.1 includes fixes for some bugs such as some related to Messages or the Dynamic Island.
