iPhone locked
Surely you have ever heard that someone you know has an iPhone that has been blocked. This is rare among iOS devices, but it can happen. Therefore, we bring you another of our iOS tutorials to give you a possible solution.
Whatever the reason, one day it can happen to us, but we must not put our hands to our heads. The solution is very simple, as well as effective and fast. All we have to do is a Hard Reset , that is, a forced reboot.
What do we have to do in the case of having an iPhone blocked:
Since there are different models of iPhone, Apple makes the Hard Reset process differently. We are going to explain them all to you step by step:
iPhones before iPhone 7:
If our iPhone is turned off and does not turn on or if it is hanging with the apple logo on the screen, we will have to do the following:
- We will have to press and hold the Home button (the round button at the bottom) and, at the same time, the power on/off button.
- We keep both buttons pressed for at least 5-10 seconds until our device turns on (in the case of being turned off) or turns off and on (in the case of being with the apple logo). Do this until the apple logo appears on the screen again
- Our iPhone will reboot and be ready to go again.
HARD RESET
iPhone 7 and 7 PLUS:
If you have an iPhone 7 or higher, the Hard reset is done as follows:
- Pressing the volume down button and the power button at the same time.
- After keeping both buttons pressed for 5-10 seconds, our device will automatically turn off. We will have to keep pressing the 2 buttons until the apple logo appears.
- After the Apple logo appears, we can let go and our device will have been reset.
Hard reset on iPhone 7
iPhone 8, iPhone X, iPhone XS, 11, 12, 13, and iPhone 14 and up:
If your iPhone does not have a button under the screen (Home button), the process to restart it is as follows:
- Press and quickly release the volume up button.
- Press and quickly release the volume down button.
- Press and hold the power button on the side of the terminal until we see the Apple logo with its apple on the screen.
As you can see, with these simple steps we can unlock a locked iPhone and not bang our heads against the wall thinking we've lost our device. As we have commented, these blockages are due to very specific errors in the system and that have an easy solution.
