iPhone Hard Restore
Today we are going to teach you how to do a restore of the iPhone and iPad, from iTunes, but carrying out a different process than what we are used to carrying out.
Normally, we enter iTunes and click on the option restore iPhone , which leaves the device as when we bought it. We do this process many times to delete all the content we have, to sell the device or because we see that the system is not running as smoothly as it should.
If our problem is that the system is not running as smoothly as it should, we must follow the steps that we are going to give you below. With this, we are going to be able to eliminate any software error that we have, that is, any problem that we have with the system. We will leave our device as when we bought it, since we will do a complete restoration of the iPhone and iPad .
How to do a full restore of iPhone and iPad:
The first thing we have to do is connect the device to iTunes. Once we have it connected, we turn it off, without disconnecting it from iTunes .
When we have it turned off, we will have to turn it on, but this time we will not do it in the traditional way. We will do a Hard Reset . Depending on the iPhone we have, we can do it one way or another:
- On iPhone 6S and below, we must press the On/Off button and at the same time, without releasing, we must press the Home button.
- If you have an iPhone 7 or higher, Hard reset is done by pressing the volume down button and the on/off button at the same time.
- For the iPhone 8, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 and above press and we quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button and press and hold the power button on the side of the terminal.
- After holding the button down for 5-10 seconds, our device will turn off automatically. We will have to keep holding the button(s) until a message appears in iTunes informing us that it is restoring our device.
Now we just have to wait for this process to finish and we will have everything eliminated, just as we bought it.
In this simple way we can do a complete restoration of the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, thus erasing the entire system from the kernel and reinstalling it from scratch.
