News in iOS 16 in the notes and reminders apps
I'm sure that the improvements that iOS 16 adds to the Notes and Reminders apps will make many of you who use third-party apps to create your notes and reminders go back to the native apps of iOS.
There are many improvements that apps such as Camera Roll, photo camera, weather app have received, but also other native apps like the ones we are mentioning today, have received very good news and improvements that make them even better than they already were.
What's new in iOS 16 in the Notes app:
Create sticky notes:
The share button has gained a new feature called “Add to Sticky Note”. This allows us to create quick notes from Safari links, images and more.

Updated Smart Folders:
New smart folder filters are available for better organization of notes. Rules can be created by Date Created, Date Modified, Shared, Mentions, Checklists, Attachments, Folders, Sticky Notes, Pinned Notes, and Locked Notes.

Lock notes with password:
Instead of selecting a specific passcode for a locked note, we can lock our notes with the passcode of our iPhone. This makes a lot more sense than thinking of a separate password that we're bound to forget.

Notes locked with a passcode can be unlocked automatically with Face ID and the feature doesn't need to be enabled, plus we can access our locked notes on all our devices using the passcode for the device we're on using.
We must take into account that the notes locked with our access code can only be seen on devices with iOS 16, iPadOS 16 or macOS Ventura . Devices running earlier versions of iOS and macOS will not be able to see password-locked notes.

In the list of notes, they are now grouped by chronological categories like Today and Yesterday to make it easier to find your most recent notes.

Pinned lists in the iOS Reminders app:
The lists we use most often can be pinned to the top of the app for easy access. Pinned lists appear next to sections of the Reminder app like Today , Scheduled , and Flagged .

New “Completed” smart list:
Apple has added a full "Done" section that adds all the reminders we've marked as done. It's organized into sections that include the previous 7 and 30 days, then further back, reminders are organized into months and years.

Templates:
If we have a list that we reuse frequently, such as a shopping list, we can save it as a template to be able to reuse it at any time. When creating a new list, the templates section appears as an option so you can choose your previously created templates.

We can go to the Templates section of the app and share any template. From there, we can copy a link and send it to other people.
Improvements in the "Scheduled" and "Today" list:
Grouping by time and date is designed to make it easier to see and add reminders. Today's list is now grouped by morning, afternoon and night for a better division of the day.

Tap any group of lists to display a combined view of the lists and the reminders within.
Shared list notifications:
When tasks are added or completed in a shared list, you can choose to receive a notification.
Improved Notes:
Notes added to reminders now support underlined, bold, and strikethrough text, as well as bullet points.
Filters:
You can choose to filter by any or all criteria in a custom smart list or tag browser.
All these new features and improvements make the native Notes and Reminders apps much better and much more useful.
