A iOS developer has verified that the SwiftUI preview now has a new behavior that is potentially related to the always-on screen. Once the developer simulates turning off the screen, the new lock screen widgets become semi-transparent and the clock stays on the screen. Something similar to what happens in the Apple Watch from Series 5 .
For those of you who don't know, Always-on technology allows the device to display certain information on the screen while consuming very little battery power.

According to rumors, the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max will be the first iPhones to feature this technology, thanks to a new variable refresh rate OLED panel ranging from 120Hz to 1Hz. By comparison, the iPhone 13 Pro's display ranges from 120Hz to 10Hz. While Apple could theoretically enable i mode for iPhone 13 Pro models, the feature will be much more efficient with the new 1Hz display.

Some details are still unclear, such as how the system will behave with notifications, as this will not be implemented in code yet.
The iPhone 14 is expected to be introduced in four different models. However, only the Pro models will have the new display and tech we're mentioning in this article, the A16 Bionic chip and a new 48-megapixel camera.
Mid-range models of the iPhone 14 are rumored to be heavily based on the current iPhone 13, except for having 6 GB of RAM instead of 4 GB, a bigger battery and a new version with a 6.7″ screen to replace the iPhone 13 mini
