iOS and iPadOS App Store
For some time now, Apple has had its sights set on the accounts that users sometimes have to create to use some apps. The best example of this is probably the option we have to "create" accounts in apps with the ID of Apple, hiding our data .
This fully reflects the importance given Apple to the privacy of users and the importance of their data. But now, in addition, Apple has definitively imposed a rule that has already been announced for all the apps in the App Store
The deadline to implement this is June 30, 2022
We are talking about their obligation to allow users to permanently delete the accounts created to use them from the applications themselves. And this rule is going to be mandatory very soon.
Specifically, Apple has established that the option to delete accounts from the app itself must be operational in all apps on June 30, 2022 at the latest. In this way, from that date on, all apps must allow us to delete their accounts from the app.
A very interesting feature is coming for App Store users
This makes it really easy for users to remove accounts from apps. We will no longer have to go, for example, to websites. And furthermore, Apple has established a number of guidelines regarding this feature.
Among these rules, it stands out that the option to delete the account must be easy to find, that it must also be possible to cancel the accounts created through “Sign in with Apple” , and that it is not enough to give the possibility of temporarily deactivating the account, but that it must be allowed to delete it permanently.
In this way, all users can easily delete the accounts created by "obligation" from the app itself, without complications. What do you think?
