Instagram filters fail?
Instagram is lately making changes to the app. These changes come not only in the form of new features that appear on a trial basis, but also through cosmetic and design changes in the app itself .
Most of these changes appear in the app via app updates. And one of the latest Instagram updates seems to be the cause of what we hope is a bug that is affecting users all over the world.
Instagram filters don't work on iPhones since the last app update
Specifically, the latest update to Instagram has disabled the filters that can be used to create Stories or Historias . None of these Instagram filters, whether saved by users or not, are working.
When trying to use any of these filters, the app displays the message “This effect cannot be used on your device” on the screen, superimposed on a black screen that indicates that the camera is not enabled in the application.
The message that appears when trying to use a filter
This appears to be exclusively affecting users of the Instagram app on the iPhone It's not something isolated as many Instagram users for iPhone are reporting this all over the world. And it also doesn't seem to have anything to do with the model of iPhone since Instagram filters aren't working even in the latest iPhone 13
At the moment there doesn't seem to be any solution to this. Neither restarting the device, nor deleting the app, etc., can solve it. It therefore remains to wait for Instagram to give a solution to this. And we hope that this is really a temporary bug, although it may also be that Instagram has decided to remove the filters as rumored at the time.
