iPhone compatible with iOS 16
With the arrival of each new version iOS, Apple launches a list of devices that can be updated to it and in which you can see the absences of devices that cannot they will do it. Last year they surprised extending another year, the updates for the iPhone 6S, 6S Plus and SE 1st generation

iPhone compatible with iOS 16:
If the rumors come true, iOS 16 would be compatible with the following iPhone:

- 13 mini
- 13 Pro
- 13 Pro Max
- SE (3rd generation)
- New iPhone 14 models
Yes iOS 16 requires 3 GB of memory to run, how it looks like it's going to be, five iPhone with A9 and A10 chips Fusion might lose support. The 7 Plus contains the A10 Fusion chip and features 3GB of memory, which means it's more likely to be compatible with the newer iOS
As you can see, the iPhone 6S , 6S Plus , iPhone SE (1st generation) and iPhone 7 will be obsolete. They will be able to continue working perfectly but they will not be able to enjoy the advantages of the new iOS.
iPad compatible with iPadOS 16:
The future operating system of the iPad, iPadOS 16, will be compatible with the following models:

- Air (3rd generation)
- Air (4th generation)
- Air (5th generation)
- iPad (5th generation)
- iPad (6th generation)
- iPad (7th generation)
- iPad (8th generation)

The iPad mini 4, iPad Air 2, iPad 5th generation and 6th generation are dropped from the list.
For the same reason we mentioned in the iPhone section, if iOS 16 needs 3 GB of memory to work, these are the devices that will not be able to cope with the update.
Apple Watch Series 3 will not be compatible with WatchOS 9:
Also, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that watchOS 9 will no longer support Apple Watch Series 3, device which is still for sale in the Apple Store .
Now it's time to wait until June 6 to find out, for sure, which are the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch compatible with the new versions of the operating systems that Apple will launch to the public in September 2022.
