Google Pay on iPhone?
It's been a long time since Apple Pay has been available on iPhone This functionality is also present on other devices such as Apple Watch, makes paying in stores and withdrawing money (as long as our bank is compatible), much easier and more efficient thanks to our devices.
As a system owned by Apple, it is the one found on their devices. But from the looks of it, this could be about to change. This is because the use of Apple Pay depends on the NFC of the devices. And the NFC of the iPhone and Apple Watch can only use the services of Apple
The EU considers that Apple is taking advantage of its position to prevent other services from making use of NFC
And this is where the problem lies. The EU understands that by preventing other services from making use of NFC on iPhones, Apple is taking advantage of its position. In other words, it accuses it of monopoly again and of abusing its position to prevent other services from using the NFC, the intention being that Appleallow other payment methods such as Google Pay
Apple Pay Cards in Wallet
This new «incident» joins the previously known ones. We are talking about the imposition that the EU wants to do in relation to the USC-C and that it be the standard in all devices. And not only this one but also the one that would force Apple to allow users to install apps from outside the App Store
Of course, it's too soon to tell if this will happen. But it is good to know that if all these "ideas" become the norm in the EU, Apple will have to accept and comply with them to to be able to continue selling their products in the European Union What do you all think of this?
