Apple is removing apps from the App Store
The App Store of Apple devices is characterized by, for the most part, offering security and functionality in the applications that we find in the same. In fact, the app store is one of the strengths of iPhone, iPad and Mac
And, logically and because of this, Apple wants to continue to enhance the app store in many different ways. Many of them totally correct and shared by users and developers and others, such as the one we are discussing below, which may not be well received by some.
The new measure taken by Apple to continue maintaining quality in the App Store is the removal of applications. But, as you can imagine, it won't be a deletion of all the apps, but just some specific ones.
The apps that will be removed will be those that have not been updated for too long
Specifically, Apple has decided to remove from the App Store those apps that have not been updated for a long time. This is what the company has indicated in an email that has been addressed to developers with apps that have not been updated for what seems to be more than two years.
In the email, Apple tells developers that their apps haven't been updated for too long. And that it will be completely removed from the app store within thirty days of receiving the email.
One of the star measures of the App Store
But developers can prevent their app(s) from being removed. As indicated in the email sent by Apple, the developers have the aforementioned period of 3 days to upload an update to the App Store to that it be approved and the app can continue for sale.
This is certainly a rather drastic measure on the part of Apple. But maybe necessary since there are many apps not optimized for the latest devices. What do you think of this measure?
