Editing messages and deleting them have been part of social networks and instant messaging apps. Many of the said apps that are the most used have this option, such as Instagram or WhatsApp among others.
But there is a social network that has been resisting the editing of "messages" on its platform for a long time. It is Twitter and, although it has always been one of the most requested options by users since Twitter they had refused outright.

Or so it seemed until now. And it is that, from Twitter, they have announced that they are working and are testing a new button that would give the option to edit our Tweets or tweets. They have made it known from the Twitter profile on the platform itself.
All this can be derived from a recent Tweet by Elon Musk for his recent acquisition of part of the shares of Twitter And it is that a lot of people started asking about it when Musk asked if Twitter users would like to see the option to edit Tweets

And from Twitter, seeing that everyone decided to respond. In the published tweet they came to say the following: «Now that everyone is asking Yes, we have been working on the edit function since last year! And no, we didn't get the idea from a poll."The latter in a clear reference to Musk's Tweet.
They will start testing it in Twitter Blue Labs in the next few days and it will allow editing, through the options menu of the Tweets to edit them. But yes, it seems that it will have a temporary limitation. That is, it will not be possible to edit Tweets beyond a few hours or days.
