Changes that could come to Twitter
If you don't already know, which would surprise us, Elon Musk has bought Twitter. They say that he is the richest person in the world, he has achieved what he set out to do and after a few weeks of intense negotiations, the little bird's social network is now his.
Now that Twitter has been added to his collection of companies including, among others, Tesla, Space X, Neuralink and The Boring Company, he has plans to unlock the tremendous potential of the platform, as he rightly said in the letter he sent to the board of directors.
But what are your plans for the social network? Will Twitter change as we know it? We will talk about this below.
News and changes that Elon Musk could bring to Twitter:
Let's break down the following statement that the millionaire posted on his Twitter account recently:
https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1518677066325053441?s=20&t=jULMu8OCExXH6PfZxlqU7g
Here the translation:
“Freedom of expression is the foundation of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the city's digital plaza where issues vital to the future of humanity are debated. I also want to make Twitter better than ever by improving the product with new features, open-sourcing algorithms to increase trust, defeating spam bots, and authenticating all humans. Twitter has enormous potential - I look forward to working with the company and the user community to unlock it."
Free Speech on Twitter:
With this principle, Musk defends that there should be no more limits to any speech beyond the law that operates in each country. This means that many disabled accounts may be able to tweet again. Among them, possibly, we will see Trump again.
And all of this he did by carefully creating a poll on the platform in which we were all able to vote and where he won, without any argument, the NO to the question “Freedom of expression is essential for a functioning democracy. Do you think Twitter rigorously adheres to this principle? :

Open Source on Twitter:
With this, what is intended is greater transparency in the social network, so that it is clear what is allowed and what is not, what will appear on your Timeline and the ads you will see.Elon wants the algorithms of what users see on their walls to be public as well.
This was also asked by a survey asking “Twitter's algorithm should be open source”. The winning answer was yes:
Twitter algorithm should be open source

Twitter edit button:
Through another poll, the majority of voters were also in favor of Twitter implementing an “edit tweet” button. Here are the results of it:
Do you want an edit button?

But this supposed button will have limitations. It will only be editable for a short period of time after the message has been posted. After that edition, the retweets and likes that the tweet had, possibly, would be set to zero since the meaning of the tweet could have been altered.
Remove bots and authenticate profiles:
Musk has also assured through tweets that he will end bots, social network profiles behind which there are no people, "And authenticate all real humans." This might not be for all users, but for Twitter Blue subscribers, a service that only works in some countries.
Now we can only wait and see if all this comes true and if new news arrives on Twitter .
Greetings.
