Carry the ID in Wallet in the future?
Wallet is one of the most useful iOS apps. Not only does it allow us to carry our credit or debit card and pay with it, but we can also take transport tickets and, from iOS 15.4, the COVID certificates of different entities and countries
But, as of iOS 15.4, there was also going to be something quite interesting. It was the possibility of carrying in the Wallet or Wallet of our iPhone our identification cards of different types, that is, our DNI and driver's licenses.

In this last regard, in Spain we can now make full use of our digital ID from our iPhone. But not in the way that the novelty and Wallet integration of iOS 15.4 led to iOS. devices
But we may not be too far from seeing something like this, since in some States of United States it is already being allowed. For several days now, users of Wallet of iPhone in the state of Arizona can now carry their IDs in the Wallet app
In Spain we can carry our Driving License on our iPhone thanks to the miDGT app
The identifications that users from that state can add are, as we have said, identification cards, equivalent to the Spanish DNI, and the driver's license or license. All this with scanning the physical card with the available option.
Of course, the configuration is not as simple as that of other elements present in the Wallet. In order to use them, it is first necessary for the specific identification authority to certify the veracity of the identification and authorize its digital use. And, once authorized and verified, it can be used.
At the moment, it's just a State in which it has been authorized. But it is foreseeable that it will expand to more of them. And, with a bit of luck, the rest of the countries will be encouraged and also allow it in the not too distant future.
