"Hidden" new feature in iOS 15.4
iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4 are now available to download with all their new features We have revealed all of them to you thanks to the betas, but now everyone can enjoy them thanks to the stable version of the latest operating system update.
Among them there are some that stand out a lot, such as the possibility of using Face ID with a mask, the arrival of numerous new emojis, or the possibility of adding to Wallet certificates and "passports" of vaccination against COVID.
This feature was already available in the US and is now available in more countries
But there is one that is going quite unnoticed. This is an enhancement to the Photos app, known as Visual Look Up and introduced with the release of iOS 15 Initially, it was only available in USA But now it has expanded to many more countries and we explain what it is about.
This function allows you to recognize elements in photos. When we talk about elements we refer, for example, to animals and plants, being able to know the type of animal in question as well as its race, or the type of plant it is. And not only that, but it also allows you to locate and identify famous and well-known landscapes and monuments.
The feature in iOS 15 Photos
To make use of this function, all we have to do is access a photo in which there are some of the aforementioned elements. Next, if we have chosen the photo correctly, we will see at the bottom the information "i" with a couple of stars.
If we click on the "i" or slide the photo up, it is when we can see the information of the element that is in the photo. Thus, if it is an animal or plant we can see its race or class and information about it. And, if it is a landscape or monument, we will be able to access your information and obtain directions to it.
