How to travel the world from the iPhone and iPad
Surely you know the app Google Earth, an app that allows us to fly around the planet earth just by sliding our finger. We will be able to explore any area that we feel like, search for cities, places and companies. We can also explore it using different layers, layers that have evolved over time and that, today, are very, very interesting.
A very fun way to explore the world around us and to travel, instantly, to any part of the globe.
Google Earth allows us to travel the world from our iPhone screen:
It is very easy to use. We simply have to scroll with our finger to navigate the world and zoom, with the pinch gesture on the screen, to see any area that interests us up close. Once we are close to the area, move two fingers up, you will see the 3D effect of the maps.
Google Earth interface
At the top of the screen you can see 5 icons that we will discuss below:
- Lupa: It allows us to search for any place on the planet, be it a city, company, park, nature reserve, whatever.
- Timón: It is the function that we like the most. It allows us to access a large amount of information regarding our planet. It allows us to visit areas of the earth based on different themes. It even has games to have a good time.
- Dado: Randomly allows us to access interesting areas of the world. A fantastic way to discover wonderful corners of the earth.
- Rule: It allows us to measure the distance between two points and, also, areas. It's a wonderful feature where we can even change the units of measurement.
- Profile icon: Allows us to access our profile.
By clicking on the icons that will appear on the map, we will be able to know much more about monuments, streets, buildings. In addition, it allows access to numerous photographs captured on the spot.
If we add to all this the possibility of walking through any available area, at street level, the travel experience is even more spectacular. Stroll through any town in the world as if you were right there. To do this, we must press the icon of the man that appears in the lower right part of the screen. When doing so, a large pattern of blue lines will appear on the map. Clicking on any part of them will take us to the street level of that place.
Activate photos, access settings, play with Google Earth:
In the upper left part there are 3 horizontal bars that, if pressed, allow us to access the application menu. In it we also have various functions with which to get more juice out of this great app. One that we recommend activating is the photo one. This option allows us to access a multitude of photos of the areas that we are viewing on the app's map.

Possibly the first app I installed on my first iPhone, which was the 3GS.
I'm addicted to traveling and in my free time, I start traveling to any part of the planet, which relaxes me and helps me get to know the planet we inhabit better.
Taking a walk through the Egyptian pyramids is priceless. SPECTACULAR!!!. I recommend you do it.
Without a doubt, an app that every traveler should have on their device. Traveling virtually anywhere in the world can now be done with this application.
