Concentration Modes iOS 15

With iOS 15 something appeared on our phones that really impressed us: the Focus Mode. We no longer had only and exclusively the Do Not Disturb Mode, as before. Apple had evolved them making them increasingly intelligent.

You can create different modes of concentration for different contexts and in each one the mobile behaves in a certain way. These concentration modes can be activated manually once configured, but you can also activate them automatically at certain times, in specific locations, or when opening certain applications or with a shortcut.

In each focus mode, you can set notifications so that only certain contacts or apps can send them to you.

You can create a concentration mode for them to use your mobile as a guest:

With these new modes we can configure one, guest mode, to be able to leave our phone to whoever we want and let them see only what we allow. Super comfortable and easy to do. The bad thing about them is that sometimes they are misconfigured and there are important applications that do not work and you have to be careful. I speak from experience.

In the Settings of these modes, you have the option to add the mode you want and give it the permissions you consider. I, for example, have Guest Mode, which only has access to the internet, the phone and nothing else, all other applications are limited. So if someone wants to use my phone, they can without problem when I activate that Mode .

Just one last piece of advice when activating Modes on our phones: be really careful what permissions you grant. You may not give certain permission to an application of vital importance to you and by having a Mode activated without certain permissions, the application does not work correctly and does not allow you to perform certain actions. It happened to me with my bank's APP and I didn't understand why there were extremely important actions that I couldn't perform.

I use custom modes, and you?
