Since iOS 16 we can set a password to the hidden folder of our reel.
How to save photos with password on iPhone and iPad:
In the following video we explain it to you in pictures. The procedure in iOS 16 has changed a bit, but is very similar. In any case, we explain it in writing below:
The first thing we must do is go to the Notes app. The native iOS app, which has evolved a lot over time.
Once here, we must create a new note. Therefore, we click on the button to create a note. We will now see at the bottom, a row of icons, among which is the symbol of a camera.
Press the camera option
Click on the icon that we marked in the upper photo and then, in the menu that appears, click on “Choose photo or video”. Our photo library will automatically open, where we must select the photographs that we want to save with a password. (We advise that only photographs can be locked. Videos cannot be locked.)
We can also take a photo from the same note and keep it under lock and key. In the video we explain the process.
When we have selected all the ones we want to keep private, click on "Add" and the photos will appear in the note. Now comes the most important step, since we have to protect them with a password.
To do this, click on the icon with the 3 dots that appears at the top right of the screen. And then on the "Block" icon that we will see in the menu that will appear.
Lock note on iOS
If we do not have the option passwords for notes configured, it will now ask us to enter a password for this note. We establish the password that we want and that's it. We will already have the photos protected with a password and no one will be able to access them.
It also gives the option to save them under Touch ID or Face ID, which adds more security to those photos. Everything will be protected as configured in Settings/Notes/Password.
Once we have the images in the note, we can easily delete them from the camera roll, because they will remain saved in the note we have created.
