Covid Passport App
It was foreseeable that the Covid passport was going to prevail in our day to day. A government maneuver to encourage those who do not want to get vaccinated, to get vaccinated. We already explained the way to get it and have it available on your iPhone Today we teach you how to have it accessible to show it at any time.
If you are not convinced by the way to add the passport to your Wallet app, so that we can have it easily available from your mobile phone and even from your Apple Watch, we will The Shortcut that we are going to comment on will interest you.
Create an app as a shortcut to the Covid passport:
In the following video on our YouTube channel we explain it to you in a more graphic way. If you are more of reading, below we describe it in writing:
If you follow the tutorial where we explain how to get the official Covid passport, you'll see that it's best to download it to your app Files From this Either way you'll have it in iCloud and it'll always be available on any of the devices you have linked to your Apple ID But let's be real, it's a little "roll" to access it. It takes a long time.
Covid Passport
Well, to create an app that allows you to quickly show your passport, we are going to create the following Shortcut in the app Shortcuts:
- We access the Shortcuts app.
- Within the "My Shortcuts" menu, which appears at the bottom of the screen, click on the "+" that appears at the top right of the screen.
- Now click on "Add action" and in the search engine, which will appear at the top of the screen, we look for "Open File". When we see it on the screen, click on it.
- Now we will have to find where our passport is, so we will click on the word «File» (somewhat blurred) that we have after the word «Open».
- If the Covid passport file does not appear in "Recent", click on "Explore" and go to the folder where we have saved it. In my case it is in the "Downloads" folder of my iPhone. (It's very important that it's ON MY IPHONE and not on ICLOUD DRIVE)
- Once we have chosen the file, at the top we put the name we want to give the app. Click to the right of the icon where you can "Open file" and put, for example, "P. COVID".
- If we want to change the color and glyph of the app, click on the drawing of the app and configure it to our liking.
- Now we click on the «x» and we will see how it is added to our shortcuts.
The shortcut should look like this:
Covid Passport Shortcut
It is now, from the list of Shortcuts that we have, where we hold down the P.Covid shortcut that we have created and in the options that appear, click on "Share" and choose "Add to home screen" .
Now you will see how the shortcut appears, as if it were an app, on the applications screen of our iPhone.
What do you think? We hope you liked it, found it useful and, if so, that you share it with everyone who might be interested.
Greetings.
