The rumors of the last few days commented that we might see, before the end of the year, a redesigned iPad mini. The small version of the iPad hasn't been long in coming and Apple has released it today.
It has nothing to do with the iPad mini traditional. It has taken a leap and has gone from following the design line of the "normal" iPad, to following the design line of the iPad Air and iPad PRO, which are characterized by having very little frame and a large screen.

Here we name all the most interesting new features of the new iPad mini:
- New layout that reduces the frames of the screen.
- Now the Liquid Retina display (LCD) is bigger. It has grown from 7.9 to 8.3 inches.
- Comes with the A15 Bionic processor, the same as the iPhone 13, which is 80% faster than the previous generation.
- USB-C port that replaces the traditional Lightning that will allow file transfers 10 times faster.
- Comes with Wi-Fi 6, optional 5G.
- Allows to magnetically charge Apple Pencil (2nd generation) from the side.
- Has Touch ID built into the power button.
- 12-megapixel rear camera, focus pixels and f/1.8 aperture, records video in 4K and allows use of Center Stage.
- Colours Pink, Star White, Purple, and Space Grey.

The price range is as follows:
- iPad mini Wi-Fi 64Gb : 549 €
- iPad mini Wi-Fi 256Gb : 719 €
- The model with Wi-Fi + Cellular will start at 719 €
It can be reserved now and will start selling from September 24.
