Customize ringtone on iPhone
Today we are going to teach you how to change the ringtone on the iPhone for another one that we like more. What's more, we are going to download it directly to our device without using a computer. One of those iOS tutorials that you should save so you never lose it.
If there's one thing that stands out, for better or worse, about iOS , it's that it's very uncustomizable. By this we mean that we cannot get out of the ways that Apple sets for us when it comes to changing a specific aspect of iOS.In this case we are going to focus on the ringtone, something that surely we have all wanted to change at some point.
In order to change the ringtone, we have always had to go through iTunes, previously downloading the audio file on the computer. But this time, we are going to show you how to do it without using the computer.
How to Change Ringtone on iPhone:
Since we can download files from Safari as we explain in this video, just at minute 3:10, we simply have to download the song that we want to put on our iPhone. There are numerous websites that allow you to download this type of file and even some converters that even allow you to download music directly from YouTube. For obvious reasons we cannot indicate which ones they are, but by searching on Google you will surely find them.
Once we have downloaded it, we must save it in the iCloud "Files" folder.
Customize ringtone on iPhone with Garageband:
The process is explained to you in this video. We explain different ways to do it but the one that will interest you is the one that appears after minute 6:38 :
If you are more of a reader, here are the steps to follow:
- We search for an audio recorder and click on "Voice" and, after that, click on the button with white stripes that appears in the upper left part of the screen.
- Now click on an icon that looks like a loop and that we will see in the upper right part of the screen.
- We will see that a window opens. In it we must click on the upper tab "Files" and, after this, click on "Explore items from the Files app". We look for the tone and press it.
- Now we select the file that we want to set as a tone and keeping it pressed we take it to the beginning of the time line.
- We cut it to fit the time and part of the song that we want as a ringtone (we recommend you watch this process in the video. It appears around minute 8:30).
- After this we rename it by clicking on the triangular button, which appears in the upper left part of the screen, accessing "My songs" and holding down the tone file.
- Now, again, we hold down the file with the tone until the menu appears and click on the "Share" option.
- In this new window, click on the “Tone” icon. We put the name, if we have not done it before and click on "Export" .
- After exporting, it will ask us if we want to use the tone as a call or message. We choose call and in the menu Settings / Sounds and vibrations / Ringtone we will have it.
Did you like it?.
If you later want to delete the created tones, from Settings/Sounds and vibrations/Ringtone you can delete them by moving them to the left.
Greetings.
