Apple Third Quarter Results

Apple has just presented its income statement for its third fiscal quarter, its fiscal year ends in September, and it has shown that the iPhone continues to be the most important thing in its sales.

They have grown in all fields but, of all of them, one that we will discuss below stands out.

The iPad is in last place, but for me it doesn't deserve it:

Apple Q3 Sales :

  • iPhone: In the third quarter of 2020, Apple's smartphone generated 26.4 billion dollars, while this year it has generated 39.6 billion . That's a 49, 8% more.
  • Services: In Q3 2020, $13.2 billion was generated on this front. In Q3 of this year the thing has risen to 17.5 billion. This is a 32, 9% more.
  • Wearables, Home & Accessories: Q3 2020 revenue was $6.5 billion and in the third quarter of this year it was $8.8 billion. This is an increase of one 36 %.
  • Mac: As for apple computers, in Q3 2020 they generated profits of 7.1 billion dollars. In Q3 this year they have grown to 8.2 billion. This is a 16, 3% more.
  • iPad: Apple's tablet in the third quarter of last year generated 6.6 billion dollars and in the same period of this 2021 it has generated 7.4 thousand millions. This is a 11, 9% more.

Services and Werables have grown strongly, 33 and 36%, respectively, in one year. Something tremendously important for a company like Apple .

We also see that the most valuable company in the world has increased its smartphone sales volume by 49.8% in one year. Which is really promising if we analyze the sales of phones throughout this year: Samsung, Xiaomi and Apple .

Something that has caught my attention is the situation of the iPad within Apple That has only sold 12% more I find it incredible. It is also true that the owner of an iPad does not change every year and that the difference between the iPad Pro 2020 and the iPad Pro 2021 is minimal and its price is very high.

I, as you well know, am a staunch defender of Apple's iPad. Now that I am not at home, in Madrid, I am writing to you from my iPad Air and I have left my MacBook Air I have brought with me keyboard, pencil and mouse. You all know that with the iPad I'm more comfortable than with the laptop, so I'm surprised by the low sales of Apple tablets.

This year I bought the iPad Air. It came from the first iPad Pro that came out and I thought it was a brutal change.

As well as the iPhone 12 Pro seems little innovative to me compared to the 11 Pro, and the improvements are not relevant, in theiPad the improvements are noticeable. That's why I'm surprised by the position of iPad in terms of sales this year. It hasn't sold much, but it has sold much less than the iPhone and the iMac It's not worth it, really.

Do you agree with the graph? Does it seem normal to you?.
