WhatsApp vacation mode

A while ago we told you about the possibility of WhatsApp adding this function. We can now say that it is available to all users who have an app version higher than 2.21.141 .

If you go to look for the "holiday mode" option in the app settings, you won't find it. The operation is used to disconnect from all the chats you want for as long as you want, which comes in handy especially on vacation, but the name of the function to activate is "Keep chats archived".

How to activate vacation mode in WhatsApp:

In the following video we explain everything in detail. If you are more of reading, below we do it in writing:

To disconnect from the conversations and groups you want, you must access the WhatsApp settings, enter the "Chats" option and activate the "Keep archived chats" option.

Leaving it green, all the chats you archive will not notify you even if they receive messages.

In the past, if you archived them, when you received a message you would be notified and those archived chats would reappear among the active chats. They were no longer archived to be available again on the chat screen. Now, if you activate the "Keep chats archived", those chats will always be archived and if someone writes in them, the following information will appear.

Notification in WhatsApp vacation mode

Nothing will ring, nor will you receive any notification. When you enter WhatsApp you will see the number of chats that have received messages. It's a silent and non-intrusive way to know that someone has written in one of those conversations.

If you enter and answer them, the chats will remain archived. That is why if you want to disconnect, you simply have to archive all the chats, or the ones you want, and activate the vacation mode to rest.

Do you find this new feature useful? We look forward to your comments.
