New Facebook Messenger feature
If we talk about one of the Facebook apps that is probably the least used of all the apps on the social network, we probably all agree on Facebook Messenger. This messaging app is probably one of the least used.
But that doesn't mean that from Facebook they won't make improvements to it. In fact, they recently launched a very interesting new feature that brings a new way of communicating to Facebook Messenger.
The new function to communicate in Facebook Messenger is called Phonoticons
This new communication feature is called Phoneticons. A word that mixes the word emoticons with, probably, a phoneme. And the truth is that it can be quite interesting to communicate.
As we tell you, what they want from Facebook is for us to communicate in a different way than we already do. That is to say, that it is not only through emojis, voice notes or writing directly in the chat.
The new feature announced in the app
In fact, the Phonoticons are a mixture of the two, since they are a kind of emojis with sounds. Thus, we can send an emoji to the person we are talking to and, in addition to sending the emoji, it will emit a sound.
To be able to access this function and start sending them, we have to follow some very simple steps. The first thing will be to open the Facebook Messenger application on our iPhone and select the contact to whom we will send a Fonoticon.
Next we will have to press the emoji icon and, if we have the function activated, we will see a sound icon. By pressing it we will be able to see all the Fonoticons available and we will be able to listen to them before sending them.
This function is not yet available for all users of Facebook Messenger, but soon, as long as you have the app updated, it should appear. What do you think of this new Facebook Messenger feature?
