WatchOS 8 will alert if iPhone moves away from Apple Watch
Much is being talked about iOS 15, but we have to say that on June 7 the new operating systems for iPad, Mac and Apple Watch were presented. It is this last device that we are going to talk about because it brings, with WatchOS 8, an interesting function that will make our lives much easier.
How many times have we left home without the iPhone and we have whipped ourselves over and over again for having forgotten it?Personally, it has happened to me a few times, as I explained one day in an article where I wrote the what can be done with an Apple Watch without having it connected to the iPhone
Well, with the new operating system coming to the Apple Watch this fall, this is never going to happen to us again.
Now available. In the following link we show you how the Apple Watch notifies you if we forget or steal our iPhone.
An Apple Watch with WatchOS 8 will alert us when the iPhone disconnects from the watch:
This function seems to be included within the new features of the Search application of iOS, as commented on Reddit . Apparently, if you have installed the watchOS 8 beta, within said application a new function appears to notify you in the event that your Apple Watch moves away from the iPhone, as we see in the following image.

This function can be activated or deactivated from the clock itself at any time. This is interesting because if you are going to be away from your iPhone for a while and you are aware of it, you can save yourself from having the watch bother you with those notifications.
It's not clear if Apple uses Bluetooth technology to alert you when your Apple Watch is disconnected from your iPhone, or if it's the opposite uses technology similar to what we have already seen in the AirTag.
Without a doubt, great news for all those users of Apple Watch and iPhone who usually leave their mobile phone behind anywhere.
I can't wait for it to arrive WatchOS 8!!!.
