Its operation is very practical, comfortable and useful: you take a photograph of the text, select the part you want and send it or do whatever you want with it. It is tremendously interesting when sending parts of a conference, for example, or the very long password for a router, or a phone number for a house or restaurant that you find on the street, or for students and notes. iOS 15 is going to make life a lot easier in this regard.
Live Text is very capable, also of translating a text. So if there's something you don't know what it means, this app will help you figure it out.
Best of all, the application recognizes handwritten characters and transforms them into digitized text, something for which they did millions of tests in all languages, as explained by Craig Federighi (Senior Vice President of Software Engineering at Apple ) .

For me it is one of the best features of iOS 15 and the one I find most useful, really.

That thing about walking down the street, seeing a phone of interest, taking out your iPhone and taking a picture to save it, is priceless. And being in a meeting and photographing the whiteboard to send the conclusion to the classmates is definitely the best.
To many Live Text reminds us, in many ways, of a function that Google already implemented called Google Lens. It's true that it's very similar, and probably Live Text is based on it, but it's much improved.
Live Text in iOS 15 Beta
People complain, and not without reason, about Apple's lack of innovation lately. It is true, Apple does not innovate and it does copy many functions from others, but it improves them incredibly. Live Text is a clear example.
