Waiting for WhatsApp to implement its native function of sending money, which is already being tested in countries like Brazil, BBVAhas launched the BBVA Cashup service that allows us to send money to any contact who has Bizum activated in their bank account and who has their mobile phone linked to it.
It's very easy to use, yes, as long as you have a BBVA account. The app allows us to download a third-party keyboard that, when activated, allows us to send money via WhatsApp, Telegram or any other app. Below we will tell you how to activate it and how it works.
How to send money via WhatsApp thanks to the BBVA app:
To activate the service that allows us to make payments through a messaging app, first of all, you must register with Bizum .
Bizum is a platform that allows you to make instant payments with anyone. With this you will avoid having to make tedious bank transfers.
If you are registered, you must perform the following steps to activate the service BBVA Cashup:
Activate the BBVA Cashup service
- Access the app and click on the three lines that appear at the top right of the screen.
- From the menu that we will see, click on "Do an operation".
- From the options panel, click on "bizum".
- Click on the "Settings" button.
- At the bottom of the screen that appears, click on "BBVA Cashup". There he will explain how to activate the keyboard that will allow us to make payments by WhatsApp, Telegram or from the app that you want and that allows you to display that keyboard. Here we leave them in image.

Once we have the keyboard activated, we access WhatsApp and enter the chat of any person, group or person to whom we are going to send the money.
You have to give your contacts access to the BBVA app to be able to carry out this step. To do this, go to Settings/Privacy/Contacts and activate the BBVA box.
From there we make the BBVA Cashup keyboard appear by clicking on the “world ball” that appears at the bottom left of the screen.We select the person to whom we want to send the money and we only have to follow the steps. We advise that money can only be sent to people who have Bizum activated in their bank accounts.
