Tip to protect the iPhone from theft
We have seen and read countless articles, throughout our long history, in which we are told how to configure the iPhone to prevent thieves from accessing and unlocking easily our devices.
When thieves steal an iPhone the first thing they do is put the mobile in Airplane Mode to cancel mobile connectivity (2G, 3G, 4G and 5G) and WiFi and BlueTooth connections. This disables their ability to receive calls and the Find My iPhone options.That way we won't be able to trace the iPhone and they won't have had to turn off the phone, which always makes it harder to unlock.
Normally to do this they lower the Control Center panel, from the lock screen, and put it in Airplane Mode without having to unlock it and they do it very quickly with a single click. That is why many media recommend eliminate access to the control center from the lock screen But if we do this we remove the possibility of lowering the brightness, accessing the flashlight, the calculator, to connections from the lock screen, which, personally, I use a lot since I don't have, for example, the automatic brightness activated

We are going to explain how to prevent lovers of foreign things from being able to put the iPhone in airplane mode and, also, not having to eliminate access to the control center from the lock screen to prevent them from doing so.

To do this we must enter the app Shortcuts and create a new automation:
- Open the app Shortcuts and click on the "Automation" option found in the bottom menu of the screen.
- Now we click on the "+" that appears in the upper right part.
- We choose the option “Create personal automation” .
- From the list of options, click on "Airplane mode" .
- Select the "Activate" option and click on Next.

- Now we click on "Add action" and in the search engine that appears we look for "airplane mode". "Define airplane mode" will appear, an option that we will press.
- In the next step we must configure "Deactivate", in the same way that we show you below.
Select “Turn off airplane mode”
After that, click on Next, deactivate "Request confirmation" and on the screen that appears we confirm the option "Do not request" and click on "OK" .
In this way we prevent anyone from being able to put our device in airplane mode. If you don't believe it try it. If you have configured the automation correctly, you will see how it won't let you.
How to disable airplane mode if you enable this automation:
This has a drawback and that is that you will not be able to put that mode while you have that automation active.If you are one of those who do not usually put the iPhone in that mode, we advise you to have it active. If you usually put it in airplane mode, we advise you to deactivate the automation and activate it when, for example, you are going to leave the house.
