Interesting news with Spotify and iOS 14.5
A few days ago we let you know all the news that would come to our iPhone and iPad thanks to the future iOS and iPadOS 14.5 update. And today we can add one more to the list that I'm sure many of you will love.
This is a novelty in the musical aspect and, we can say, that of "personalization". Apparently, finally, we will be able to configure in our iPhone and iPad that Spotify and other musical applications as default players.
Music services join the options to choose default apps
Until now, and until iOS 14.5, the only default player on iPhone and iPad is Apple Music But once it arrives, it will join the different options that we already have available to choose certain apps as default, such as the browser or the different email managers.
Thus, in case we use Spotify or another music app other than Apple Music, we can ask Siri to play any content in that app. To do this, it will only have to be configured once and from that moment on, every time we ask it to play something, it will do so in that app .

To configure it, it seems, all you have to do is ask Siri to play something, be it a song, album, podcast, etc.When doing so, Siri will tell us to choose which service or application we want to use for it. And, once we have chosen it, Siri will remember it and always play the things in that app or service.
