So you can disable mobile data automatically when connecting to home Wi-Fi
Today we are going to teach you how to deactivate mobile data automatically, when we connect to the Wi-Fi at home . Ideal for those rates that are short of data and we want to save them as much as we can.
With the arrival of Siri shortcuts, there are many options we have and the possibilities it gives us. But it is true, that it is somewhat complicated or that it simply requires some time, to start investigating what you can do or what you cannot do with your iPhone.
That's why at APPerlas,we want to help you get the most out of this function and therefore, we always explain some other trick for it.
How to turn off mobile data automatically when connecting to your Wi-Fi
This trick is ideal both, as we have already mentioned, for those reduced rates, and to save battery life on our device.
Therefore, the first thing we should do is go to the Siri Shortcuts app. Once here, we go to the <> section, and we are about to create a new one, so we click on <>.
In this new automation that we are going to create, we must select the <> option, which is in the center section.
Click on the Wi-Fi tab
When doing so, it will ask us to select the network in which we want to create this process, so we click on the blue <> tab that appears next to us of 'Networks'.We search and select our home network, or the one we want, it can be the work one for example. Now we give <> .
We will go to a new screen, in which we already have to add the action we need, for this we click again on the blue tab that appears
Add action
Then all the actions that we have available appear, but to make it much faster and less tedious, in the search we write the word 'Data' and click on it.
Click on the mobile data tab
We will see that the action already appears on the screen, but that it comes to us by default so that mobile data is activated, which is not what we want. Therefore, click on the word <> and we will see how it changes to <>,which is what we really want .
Change the tab from 'On' to 'Off'
Now a summary of the automation that we have created appears and that's it. Click on <> and we will have it activated and ready to be used whenever we connect to the Wi-Fi network we have selected.
