If you thought the Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE would be more water resistant than their predecessors, we've got bad news for you. Their resistance is the same.
We want to clarify this because many media have predicted that the Series 6 have increased their resistance and we are going to show you that this is not the case.
And all this comes to mind because of what, personally, happened to me with my Apple Watch Series 2 and that you can read in the link that we leave you in this line.Since the watch "died," we've been keeping a close eye on this feature on Apple Watches that, we warn you, is somewhat misleading

That is why we must take the same precautions to extend the life of the watch as much as possible, as in its predecessor models.
This could cause Apple Watch's water resistance to fail:
In the following video we explain everything to you. If you are more of reading, we will explain it to you in writing below:
Now we transcribe what Apple says regarding water resistance and aspects that could influence it:
- Apple Watch Series 2, Series 3, Series 4, Series 5, SE, and Series 6 can be used for surface water activities, such as swimming in the pool or ocean. However, they should not be used for diving, water skiing or activities involving high-velocity water impacts or deep immersion.
- You can shower with them, but exposing them to soaps, shampoos, conditioners, lotions or perfumes is not recommended as they can affect the hydraulic seals and acoustic membranes.
- When cleaning Apple Watch, don't use s alt water. If the device comes into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, dry it with a lint-free cloth.
- Water resistance is not a permanent condition and may diminish over time. Apple Watch cannot be retested or resealed for water resistance.
- The following may affect the water resistance of Apple Watch and should therefore be avoided:
- Drop Apple Watch or expose it to other types of shock.
- Exposing Apple Watch to soap or soapy water, such as when bathing or showering.
- Avoid exposing Apple Watch to perfumes, solvents, detergents, acids, acidic foods, insect repellents, lotions, sunscreens, oils, or hair dyes.
- Exposing Apple Watch to high-velocity water impacts, for example, while water skiing.
- Wearing your Apple Watch in a sauna or steam room.
So if you want your Series 6 and SE to last a long time, keep these aspects in mind.
Greetings.
