New security feature in Facebook Messenger
Of all the apps that Facebook has, the most used in the field of instant messaging is WhatsApp But, although here is Spain is not used much, Facebook also has its own messaging app Facebook Messenger, integrated into the social network.
During the Coronavirus COVID–19 pandemic lockdown, it has made some improvements to that app, the main one being the possibility to gather up to 50 people through Messenger RoomsAnd now Facebook is developing a pretty cool security feature.
The option to block Facebook Messenger with Face ID or Touch ID should appear in the app shortly
This is about the possibility to lock the application using Face ID or Touch ID This security function is already integrated inWhatsApp and makes both our application and our conversations more secure by forcing the app to be unlocked with any of the systems.
Once the function is enabled it will work the same as in WhatsApp. Once the unlocking has been activated through either of the two systems, to access the application we will have to unlock it with our device's system or with the code.
The function activated
You can also configure, among four options, when you request the app Face ID or Touch IDThus, we can configure the app to request unlocking each time the app is closed or opened, after one minute from the app being closed, or after 15 minutes or an hour. The safest option is by far the request for Face ID or Touch ID every time you close and open the app .
Of course, all the news that makes our applications more secure and away from outsiders are welcome. And you, do you use Facebook Messenger? In that case, will you set Face ID or Touch ID to protect the app?
