Connect in a video call with up to 50 people thanks to Facebook
Facebook recently announced the arrival of a new video calling feature coming to Facebook Messenger soon, allowing you to make video calls with up to 50 people at a time. And the feature, called Messenger Rooms, is now available.
This new function stands out, mainly, for allowing you to make video calls with up to 50 different people. A rather big difference between its competitors and, even, between the apps of Facebook as in the case of WhatsApp that allows calls from up to 8 people
You don't need to have a Facebook or Messenger account to use Messenger Rooms
Not only stands out for this, but also for the possibility of people outside Facebook joining the video calls and who do not use the social network or Messenger. This way anyone with access to the link can join the call.
To use the function, it is enough for the creator of the "group" to have an account of Facebook and of Facebook Messenger. To create these video call rooms, you just have to follow a few simple steps within the Facebook Messenger. app
The new feature
Within the app we will have to go to the People tab. In this tab, where our contacts are located, we will see a new option at the top called "Create a room", which we will have to press.
When doing so, the app will automatically create the room and show our camera on the screen. In addition, at the bottom we will see the possibility of sharing the link so that anyone, whether they use Facebook or not, can join. In this way, up to 50 people can be connected at the same time.
The Messenger Rooms feature is starting to appear in the latest version of Facebook Messenger. That is why, for it to appear and you can use it, all you have to do is have the updated Facebook Messenger application.
