8 person video calls on WhatsApp
We already advanced it to you a few days ago. WhatsApp increases the number of participants in your video calls But not only for this functionality, the number of participants in your audio calls is also raised to 8. They do not have to be only applicable to videoconferences.
Last night we announced it to you on our networks and today we will share the news with you. After trying the new version of the app, we have also noticed a novelty that makes WhatsApp much more merged with our devices iOS.
Apps like Zoom have taken advantage of the limitation of the most used messaging app on the planet and its developers have reacted late but on time, to make many users come back to the application to make your multiple calls.
How to make video calls with more than 4 people on WhatsApp:
In the following video that we upload to Instagram, we explain how to make them:

It can be done as we show in the video, from within a group selecting the people we want to talk to, or it can also be done as follows:
- Clicking on the “Calls” menu that appears in the bottom menu of the screen.
- Once inside it, click on the “call+” icon that appears in the upper right part in blue.
- Click on the "New group call" option
- We select the 7 contacts we want to talk to.
A novelty that many of us were surely waiting for. But, in addition, another novelty has arrived, not so flashy but that has caught our attention.
Message action menu is merged with iOS:
The other novelty comes in the action menu of messages. When we click on one of them, that we have sent or that we have received, a submenu appears with which we can highlight, reply, delete, forward messages. Well, that menu has been adapted to iOS and now, if you have iOS 13, it appears in the format that the native menus appear, for example, by pressing firmly on any app.
New action menu in WhatsApp
This makes WhatsApp more fused, than ever, with our iPhone.
Without further ado, we'll be waiting for you shortly with more news, tricks, applications to get the most out of your devices iOS.
Greetings.
