Despite the measures currently in force in supermarkets and shopping centers, it can be quite difficult to meet people and avoid crowds. But, with this app, you can avoid it as much as possible.
Crowdless allows us to avoid crowds in supermarkets and contribute so that people avoid them
The application is called Crowdless and it has been developed by the European Space Agency. And its purpose is to show us in which supermarkets there is a large influx of people and in which there are less. In this way we can choose which one to go to.
Some of the supermarkets
The operation is really simple. Once we have granted access to our location, the app will show us all the supermarkets near our location. If we want to see the ones from another location, we will only have to scroll to it and press « Search this Area «.
Supermarkets will be marked with an indicator that may be of three colors: green, orange and red. If the color is green, the supermarket will be below 40% of its capacity. If it is orange and red it means that there is more than 40% of its capacity.
In addition, we will see its address and opening hours, and we can contribute by indicating the number of people we appreciate if we have gone to that supermarket.

In addition to making use of the satellites of the European Space Agency, it also makes use of the information offered by Google Maps and of the GPS of our devices. And, although it has been proposed for supermarkets, it may be useful for more places once the confinement ends.
