When we buy and download an app in the App Store of iOS for iPhone, if the app is available for other devices, we purchase it directly for iPad, Apple Watch and Apple TV But here is a great forgotten one, the Mac
That universal purchase across all operating systems based on iOS does not apply to the Mac So far since, in the latest beta of Xcode, one of its notes states that universal purchases with the Mac included will be enabled by default if apps were created with the project Catalyst
That is, if we make a purchase and download an app on iOS or iPadOS and the same app exists onMac created with project Catalyst, when making that purchase or download on iOS or iPadOS the app will appear as purchased also on Mac
The only platform left to be integrated into iOS universal purchases was Mac
Y will also work in reverse. If the app for Mac was created using Catalyst, it is purchased from Mac and has an app for the rest of Apple operating systems will also become available on them with that single purchase. It looks like this may eventually apply to in-app purchases for subscriptions and additional features.

The only limitation to this new feature of universal purchases with the included Mac is that the developers choose to enable it. But, taking into account that a single purchase in iOS allows you to download apps from other operating systems, it doesn't seem like it's going to happen too much.
What do you think of this new feature that will unify all app purchases and downloads across all Apple operating systems? We are sure that, of course, and as users that we are, it is something that we will appreciate.
