It is convenient to review Activity outside of Facebook
That Facebook lives off the data of its users is something we all know. It is also quite well known that the social network tracks its users even if they are not using it. And a new feature launched by Facebook allows us to see everything they know about us outside the app .
In Activity outside Facebook we can see our activities on the network that have taken place outside the app and the social network. In other words, all the data that companies and organizations, outside of Facebook, share with the social network.
It's surprising to see the amount of off-Facebook activity the social network collects from its users
This means that Facebook, Instagram and apps belonging to Facebook have access to everything we do outside of the social network. If we use Facebook from a computer, everything we have done from our browser will be displayed, both clicks and searches or purchases.
The new feature
And if we use the social network from a mobile, things go even further because, in addition to searches on Internet and clicks, you will have access to the apps we use as well of the use that we give to them. This happens, both on a computer and on a mobile device, as long as the app or website in question shares the data with Facebook, which is quite likely.
To access this function where we can see what Facebook knows about us outside of the social network, we have to follow a few steps. It is not in plain sight and you have to access it from Settings and privacy > Settings and press Off Facebook Activity
The options that Activity gives off Facebook
Once we are in the section, we will be able to manage the activity that has been registered, unlink the accumulated history of our account or choose that, in the future, Facebook does not relate the information who collects with us.
The options are not the best, but we recommend you deactivate all of them so that Facebook has as little information about you outside of the social network. How about Activity outside Facebook? Do you find it useful or does it worry you?
