Find out your musical decade thanks to this Spotify feature
The end of 2019 is not just the end of the year. This year also marks the end of the decade that began in 2010. We are seeing many initiatives with this premise and, probably, one of the most striking is Spotify Wrapped.
This initiative by Spotify allows us to see absolutely everything musically related to our decade on Spotify: song and artist most listened to, time per artist, where the artists you listen to are from, etc.
Spotify Wrapped 2019 has allowed us to remember some songs that we had forgotten
The Wrapped option should appear as soon as you enter the Spotify app, but if it doesn't, you'll see it in the top of the Home section. Just by pressing it you will access these Stories and you will be able to see, first, how your musical style has changed throughout the seasons of 2019.
This is how Spotify's algorithm gets confused
Below is the artist you have listened to the most this year, with their listening time, while their most listened to song plays. Then they appear ordered, in a Top 5, the most listened to artists in 2019, while the second most listened to song plays. It also shows us the countries of the artists listened to, the genres and the most listened to songs.
We then went on to remember the decade that is ending. Spotify shows us the time spent in the application and which have been the most listened to artists and songs, every year from 2010 to 2019. And, finally, we can see which one considers Spotify who is our artist of the decade.
