Call waiting function available in WhatsApp
The WhatsApp app has been recently updated to version 2.19.120. From this version onwards, we have available the compatibility of this messaging app with calls on hold.
Before, if we were talking to someone on the phone and a contact called us from WhatsApp, they would not receive a call signal. Now everything changes and when they call you from WhatsApp, while you are answering another person on the phone, it gives you several options to manage that incoming call.
We'll tell you how it works, below.
Call waiting on WhatsApp is now available:
In the following video on our YouTube channel, we talk about this new feature:
When receiving a call from WhatsApp, while we attend another, these options will appear:
WhatsApp Call Waiting Options
With them we can do the following:
- Finish and accept: We can cut the call we have to answer the call that comes from WhatsApp
- Reject: We will reject the call that comes from WhatsApp
- Put on hold and accept: Put on hold the call we have to answer the WhatsApp call. If we use this option, we can also put the WhatsApp call on hold and continue answering the one we originally had.
- Remind: You will end the call and add a reminder to call that person.
- Message: You will end the call and send a message to the person who is calling you.
How we commented on the video, the competition of WhatsApp with other messaging applications, such as Telegram, is doing little little by little the app improves.
If you recently implemented a new privacy function in groups, which allows you to configure which people can add you to WhatsApp groups and who can't, now comes this novelty that causes calls from this application to be treated as ordinary calls of a lifetime.
We hope this news has interested you and we'll see you shortly with more news, apps, tutorials for your devices iOS and iPadOS.
Greetings.
