Normally it did so through an article on its website and with a mention in the "Today" section of the App Store, where it showed a classification of the best apps released in the year. As you see the date matches. Last year it was on December 3 and this year it will be announced through an event that will take place on Monday, December 2, at 4:00 p.m. in New York. Here in Spain it will be at 10pm.
