A new feature is coming to Instagram
All of us who follow Instagram know that feeling of accessing our followed section and not recognizing an account that appears there. Either because we don't remember following it or because we don't remember when we did.
Right now we have several tools that can help us. For example, the ability to sort followers by follow-up order or see if profiles have had name changes. But with the feature Instagram is working on, it goes much further.
The new Instagram function will allow us to have more control over the people we follow
This new function will appear when we access our following. That is, by clicking on their number from our profile. Currently we only have the possibility to see them, order them and connect our contacts.
The following section by categories
But, with the new feature we will see many more options. When accessing the followed, above the possibility of ordering them, we will see a new section called "Accounts by category" and two categories: "Accounts with less interaction " and "Most Shown Accounts in Feed". The first of them shows us the accounts with which we have least interacted, and the second those that we see the most in the main section.

In addition, if we click on "see all categories", Instagram will show us the accounts we follow organized by different categories such as Travel , Art, etc At the moment, it doesn't look like we're going to have the ability to create categories and add accounts, but it may be possible at some point.
There is another novelty, quite interesting, that is also yet to come. It will allow us to see, from the Activity tab, the Stories or Histories in which we have been tagged and that are active.
