Photos to the stars with an iPhone 11

If you own one of the new iPhone, you'll surely be delighted with the camera's night mode. Impressive photos are taken in low light conditions. The truth is that it is one of the most outstanding functions of the camera of these devices.

But surely if you wanted to take a photo of the sky, you will have been a little disappointed to see that your capture is not what you expected it to be. After spending a few seconds keeping the iPhone focused on the sky, you see that the photo appears very clear. The stars are visible, but the background, which should be black, is much lighter than desired.

And this situation is exacerbated if there is a lot of light pollution in the area where you take the photo.

Well then, we are going to tell you what you have to do to make that image look as it should.

How to take photos of the stars with an iPhone 11:

The first thing you have to do is capture the stars. When focusing on the sky, night mode should be automatically activated. If so, it is your choice to give it more or less seconds of capture. Normally it's 3 seconds, but you can give it up to 10.

If you want to modify the time, you have to click on the night mode button, which appears next to the flash button and should appear in yellow and, just above the button to take the photo, a selector should appear from which choose the time you want the camera shutter to be open.

Time settings in night mode

Once you have chosen the time, you take the photo.

After those seconds the photo is taken and will be saved in the roll of your iPhone.

Now we access the reel and click on the image in question.

How you see is somewhat clear. Now to convert that background into something more in line with reality, click on edit. When doing that, the editing settings will appear.

Photo editing settings

By sliding the selectors of, above all, the contrast, brightness, black point, shadows, light areas and luminosity adjustments, we will be able to make the image look as it should be. Each photo is different and each one may require a different configuration.

By touching those settings, you will see how the photo looks spectacular:

If you don't have an iPhone 11, 11 PRO or 11 PRO Max, with the night mode function, you can use the app NeuralCam to capture.

Then edit the image in the same way that we explain in this tutorial and you will get very similar results.

What did you think of today's tutorial? Surely you loved it, especially those who love the sky.

Greetings.
