Safari Download Manager

We are going to show you how to configure this function in one of our iOS tutorials. Being able to download any file we want to our iPhone and iPad, is already possible if you use the Safari browser .

And if you have iOS 13 installed, you should know that you can download EVERYTHING on your devices. Videos, audios, documents, compressed files, everything that can be downloaded from a website, we can download and save in our iPhone and iPad

Yes, you have to configure it to your liking since it has different ways of storing the downloads.

How to download in Safari any video, audio, document on our iPhone and iPad:

The first thing we have to do is configure the place where we want the downloads to be saved. Accessing Settings/Safari we have to go to the Downloads option and clicking on it will show 3 options:

Choose where you will save the downloads

  • iCloud Drive: Automatically upload and save your downloads to iCloud. Changes you make to the Downloads folder will be synced across all your iCloud devices. This means that everything you download in this location will be available on all devices that have access to iCloud .
  • On my iPhone: Save downloads only on iPhone . This makes them unavailable on other devices linked to your iCloud account .
  • Other : We can choose a specific folder to save what we want to download.

It's up to you to choose where to save your downloads.

I, personally, have chosen the iCloud Drive option because when downloading many documents, I want to have access to them from my iPhone, iPad and Macbook .

Where are Safari downloads saved?:

Once you choose the place where your downloads will be saved, you must access the Files app and from the main screen of the Explore menu, we access the location that we have chosen to save the videos, music, documents that we have downloaded.

Tap where you've chosen to save Safari downloads

Once we click on iCloud Drive or On my iPhone, we simply have to access the "downloads" folder to access what we have downloaded.

In this tutorial where we tell you some tricks for iOS 13, we show you an example in which we download a video from Safari .

Without further ado and hoping to have made the tutorial clear to you, see you in our next article. Regards.
