Do Not Disturb Feature on iOS
Personally, if there's one feature in iOS that I use a lot, it's the Do Not Disturb mode An option that allows you to prevent get notifications when you're sleeping, while driving, or simply when you want to disconnect from everything while enjoying a video, game on your iPhone or iPad
Do Not Disturb is basically used so that the iPhone does not notify you of anything. We will have the terminal active but it will not notify us of any calls, any emails, any sms, Whatsapp which will be registered, by means of a notification balloon and in the notification center (provided that you have it configured to it) , and that we can see and consult whenever we want.
A function that, when active, we will see just to the left of the available battery level. An icon appears with the image of a moon, which indicates that we have this function active.
How To Set Up Do Not Disturb On iOS:
To configure this option, we have to go to the following path: Settings/Do not disturb .
A menu will appear with all the configuration options, as we show you below:
Setting Do Not Disturb Mode
From there we can configure the following:
- Scheduled: We can program this function, stipulating a time interval in which it will be activated automatically. Within this option we can choose to dim the lock screen to prevent it from turning on when notifications arrive and, thus, send them directly to the notification center.
- Mute: We can choose the "Always" option so that even using the iPhone it does not notify us of any notification or "With the iPhone locked" that allows us to receive notifications whenever we are using the iPhone and we don't have it blocked.
- Telephone: With the do not disturb mode active, we can "Allow calls from" contacts that we have assigned as favourites, all calls or that nobody bothers us. We can also activate the "repeated calls" option, to receive calls that are supposedly urgent. If a person calls you once, the terminal will not notify you, but if they call you twice within 3 minutes, the iPhone will detect that it is an urgent call and will ring your mobile.
- Do Not Disturb While Driving Mode: We have several ways to activate it. Automatically, manually or by connecting to the car's bluetooth. This feature limits notifications while driving and sends messages, which we can customize, to people trying to contact us.
This function is very useful for nights or situations such as meetings, movies, driving in which we want to be connected at all times but without the mobile alerting us to any calls or notifications.
We are delighted with this feature of iOS.
