Many users of iOS devices access videos from Youtube just to listen to them. They transform the content that is published there into a kind of Podcast This is something that saves mobile phone battery and allows you to enjoy your favorite channels in a different way. Driving, playing sports, working, you can listen to the videos you want without having to watch the video.
And there are many channels on Youtube that you don't have to watch to enjoy them. Many are interviews, tricks, experiences, songs that can be consumed without having to watch the video.
If you are one of those people, we are going to tell you about the best ways to transform the videos of your favorite Youtube channels, into some Podcast .
Listen only to the sound of Youtube videos, in the background, using an application:
By downloading an app and following the steps that we discuss in the following link, you will be able to listen to the audio of the YouTube videos in the background. Even with the iPhone or iPad locked.
The only downside to this way of doing it is that you will spend data from your tariff, if you are connected to it while listening to it. Of course, you will save data and battery costs by only playing the sound of the video.
How to listen to Youtube audio in the background on your iPhone and iPad:
To achieve this and not spend data while we only listen to the video, you will have to download the video from Youtube on your device.Follow the steps we give in the following tutorial to learn how to download YouTube videos to the iPhone and iPad's camera roll
Once we have downloaded it, we have to do the following:
- Enter the reel of your device and click on the downloaded video.
- Once we have the video on the screen, click on the share button (square with an upward arrow that normally appears at the bottom left of the screen).
- Of all the options, click on "Save to Files".
- We select a folder that appears in the "On my iPhone" option. It doesn't matter what it is. If you don't see one, you'll have to create it.
Save it inside any "On My iPhone" folder
It is saved in said folder and we already have it available to listen only to the audio of the video.
Now we enter the native iOS Files app and we enter, within the “On my iPhone” location, the folder where the video is. Click on it and click on "Play".
Now exit the app. Playback will stop. Now we have to access our control center to press "Play" again. In this way, the audio of any YouTube video you want will be played in the background. Even when you block it.
