iPhone Exploited
Apple has always been very clear on the issue of replacing or changing parts in iPhone If you want to change, for example, the battery of your mobile because it is very spent, do it for an official battery and in a service authorized by Apple for it. If not, things like the ones we show you later can happen.
After the latest news about explosions of iPhone, apparently all of them caused by people outside Apple handling them or by unofficial batteries , those from Cupertino have become serious.
The issue is taking such an impact that Apple has taken action on it. Below we explain.
If you do not have an official Apple battery installed, the HEALTH function will not appear in your device's settings:
We're passing you one of the videos that have made Apple take action on the matter. This happens to a person outside the company after handling a iPhone:
To avoid this type of problem, Apple has chosen to disable the he alth function. In the following video you have all the information about it (about minute 4 we see how the he alth function is not available) :
Apple has installed, in its latest models, a "sleeping software lock" that protects its products from batteries changed by third parties. When one of these changes is made, the system wakes up from sleep and iPhone disables access to battery he alth data.
It follows from this that even an official battery, installed by someone other than Apple official repair service, also activates this battery function lock software . Therefore, it is best to go to services authorized by Apple, or at Apple Store, to do all this type of repair.
The iPhone will continue to work the same, but it will prevent us from having access to that useful information about the state of the battery.
At the moment, only the XR , XS and XS Max models that have the latest version of iOS 12 or the beta of iOS 13 , they are the ones who own this “sleeping software”. It is not known if this could be extended to more models of iPhone in the future.
Greetings.
